Role: Brake Press Operator
Location: Sudbury, Suffolk
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 06:30 - 17:00
Pay: £13.00 - £15.50+ p/hour (DOE)
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
We are currently recruiting for a Brake Press Operator to join a well-established manufacturing business in Sudbury. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced sheet metal worker or fabricator looking for a long-term position within a skilled production team.
Brake Press Operator Duties:
Operating brake press machinery to bend and form sheet metal components
Setting and adjusting machines to meet job requirements
Reading and working from engineering drawings and production instructions
Measuring components using basic measuring equipment to ensure accuracy
Carrying out quality checks throughout the manufacturing process
Completing general fabrication and sheet metal duties when required
Using hand tools and supporting the wider production team
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environmentWhat We're Looking For:
Previous experience operating a brake press or similar machinery
Background within sheet metal, fabrication, engineering or manufacturing
Ability to read and understand technical drawings
Confident using hand tools and measuring equipment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a teamTraining can be provided for candidates with a similar manufacturing or fabrication background.
