Bookkeeper required to join a well-established Accountancy practice based in Cheltenham.

Job Title: Bookkeeper
Location: Hybrid role after probation period (2 days in office, 3 at home)
Salary: Up to £30Kp/a plus great package which includes parking
Hours: Monday – Friday (9am-5pm)

Bookkeeper required to join a small, well-established, and very friendly accountancy practice based in Cheltenham. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their own portfolio of clients to carry out a range of bookkeeping tasks. You’ll have previous experience of all aspects of bookkeeping and will have previously worked in an accountancy practice managing your own portfolio of clients.

Essential Skills:

* Previous experience of working in an accountancy practice managing your own portfolio of bookkeeping clients

* Experienced in preparing management accounts and VAT returns,

* Reconciling bank accounts,

* Dealing with general client queries,

* Experience of using Sage and Xero accounting and payroll,

* Effective communication skills with an enjoyment of communicating with clients,

* Driver with own vehicle (for occasional client visits).

Key responsibilities:

* Manage own portfolio of clients to process both bookkeeping and payroll of various pay frequencies,

* Inputting data from client manual records,

* Bank reconciliations; dealing with client queries,

* Preparation management accounts,

* Preparing VAT returns for review,
