Bookkeeper
Location: Haslingden
Hours: Regular Hours Monday – Thursday 08:00-17:15, Friday 08:00-12:00 (Flexible hours available)
Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with SAGE 50, SAGE Payroll, VAT calculations and submissions, and other accounting tasks. This position offers flexibility in hours, making it suitable for individuals with varying schedules.
Responsibilities:
* Utilize SAGE 50 and SAGE Payroll for weekly and monthly staff.
* Perform VAT calculations and submissions.
* Conduct month-end closure procedures.
* Manage accounts payable and receivable.
* Maintain the purchase ledger.
* Conduct bank reconciliations.
* Calculate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
* Assist with customer and supplier issues as needed.
Requirements:
* Proficiency in SAGE 50 and SAGE Payroll.
* Experience with VAT calculations and submissions.
* Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles.
* Ability to work effectively in a small team.
* Excellent communication skills for dealing with customers and suppliers.
* Experience in a manufacturing company preferred but not essential.
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum
