Description:
Radar Recruitment are exclusively working with a small, vibrant company in Faversham, supporting them in their search for a part-time Bookkeeper. Working directly with the Managing Director and General Manager, the Bookkeeper will manage the day-to-day finance operations of the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the finance function, including producing management accounts, analysing monthly / quarterly numbers, overseeing transactions / reconciliations, as well as processing payroll, VAT, HMRC and audit processes.
Profile:
* AAT Qualified or equivalent experience
* Minimum of 3 years experience working within a UK Finance environment, with sound working knowledge of UK financial practices
* Sound understanding and knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices
* Proficiency in accounting software including Sage and MS Office
* Excellent analytical, organisational, and time management skills
* Strong proficiency in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
* Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and take initiative
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
* Management accounting
* Liaising with HMRC and handling tax-related issues
* Completion of tax & VAT returns
* Prepare and analyse financial statements
* All day-to-day finance functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cashflow forecasting and payroll
* Assist with budgeting, forecasting processes and cost reduction strategies
* Conduct month-end and year-end close processes
* FX management
* Ensure compliance with tax regulations and filing requirements
* Provide financial analysis and support to management
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes
