Pettigrew Recruitment Group is delighted to be working alongside this established local brand with a prominent presence in the construction market as they look to appoint a Bookkeeper to support them with an increase in workload. This is a key appointment to a growing business and requires someone who can demonstrate experience and proficiency in the role. This family of businesses covers a varied portfolio, from construction, property, retail and leisure, and they are keen to source an individual to join their busy accounting department.

Reporting to the Finance Director, duties of the role will include:

* Taking care of administrative tasks, such as correspondence, filing and printing.

* Managing CIS Payments and Reverse VAT.

* Maintaining accurate and detailed customer records and creating new customer accounts.

* Building a good rapport with clients and providing an accounting team with relevant information.

* Completing daily and monthly bank reconciliations.

* Collecting monthly direct debits and making payments.

* Preparing and entering journals into the system.

* Supporting the preparation of management accounts and month-end duties.

To be shortlisted we are looking for the following role:

* Experience managing CIS payments is essential given the nature of this role.

* Experience using Sage accounting software.

* Professional approach to work.

* Ability to raise purchase orders.
