BODYSHOP MANAGER
Location: Croydon, South London
Salary: £55,000–£75,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Responsibility: Two sites and approximately 15 technicians
Kestrel Talent is recruiting an experienced Bodyshop Manager an established multi-site accident repair business operating across South London, Kent and Sussex.
Based primarily at the Croydon repair centre, you will take responsibility for the performance of two bodyshop sites and lead a team of approximately 15 technicians.
This is a senior operational position requiring proven experience of managing a busy accident repair centre. You will oversee people, productivity, repair quality, customer service and the smooth movement of vehicles through the repair process.
THE ROLE
* Lead the daily operation of two accident repair sites
* Manage and support approximately 15 bodyshop technicians
* Plan workshop capacity, workflow and resource requirements
* Monitor productivity, repair quality and vehicle cycle times
* Maintain high standards of customer communication and service
* Coordinate effectively with estimating, parts, paint, panel and MET teams
* Ensure work is completed safely and to the required quality standards
* Support relationships with insurers, fleets and other customers
* Identify operational problems and implement practical improvements
* Report on site performance, workloads and staffing requirements
ABOUT YOU
* Previous Bodyshop Manager or Accident Repair Centre Manager experience is essential
* Strong understanding of the complete accident repair process
* Experience leading technicians across paint, panel and MET disciplines
* Confident managing performance, workflow and competing priorities
* Commercially aware, organised and customer focused
* Able to lead teams across more than one location
* Full UK driving licence
