London/South East

£45,000 - £60,000

Job Description:

Our Client is an independent & privately owned company who are a provider of building control system solutions.

Due to company growth they are looking to take on a bright, proactive and enthusiastic BMS Project Engineer to join them. The role is predominantly based in Maidenhead with regular site visits to coordinate / meet with customers etc. around London, as well as Berkshire & Oxfordshire. The candidate must have past experience working with TREND BMS controls or Tridium.

The responsibilities of the Project Engineer are as

To Engineer / Design Projects in line with issued Project information

To ensure that the Design is in line with the Project specification

To schedule all works in line with the contact program

To ensure that the Project maintains the required profit margins

To ensure that the company safety policy is adhered to

To co-ordinate the collation of electrical installation files and commissioning files

To report to the department head any shortfalls within the Project costing that does not line up with the specification in the form of a written report

To raise monthly applications and final accounts

To attend site meetings when required and liaise with the client to agree contractual points

To co-ordinate site works with our own commissioning and electrical labour

To carry out risk assessments and prepare method statements

To generate a Description of Operation for inclusion within the Operation & Maintenance Manuals

To procure all control devices and to issue orders for specialist devices

To arrange delivery of controls and panels in line with programme of works

To raise subcontract orders when required

To check invoices for correct value and discount levels

To co-ordinate with the Graphics Dept for the generation of any required BMS graphics

To co-ordinate with the Software Dept for the planned generation of software programs

To use one's personal experience to assist site and office colleagues on problems that may occur

If your experience allows, to carry out software writing at times when he system is up to capacity

When required, attend handover meetings with clients

To co-ordinate the completion of any snagging reports

Candidate Specification:

All applicant's MUST have previous experience in a BMS (Building Management System) role, working with TREND & Tridium BMS systems.

Candidate's applying will be require the ability to demonstrate a strong Controls background

You should have excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with members of staff at all levels

You should possess the ability to effectively work both on own initiative as well as part of a team

Ideally candidate's will already live within an acceptable commuting distance to my clients Northampton office
