Description:

We are looking to recruit a Blow Mould Technician for our client based in Tenbury Wells. The business operates state‑of‑the‑art blow moulding technology, supplying major FMCG brands across food, beverage, household and personal care sectors.

This role is critical in ensuring machines run at peak efficiency, product quality remains consistently high, and production targets are achieved safely and cost‑effectively.

SALARY: £40,000 per annum

WORKING HOURS:
4 on/4 off, 2 days then 2 nights (7-7)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Machine servicing — routine and reactive maintenance on blowing machines.

*

Fault finding — diagnose mechanical, electrical and PLC‑related issues.

*

Downstream equipment setup — configure and run airveyors, laners, robots and other line equipment.

*

GMP & safety ownership — uphold high standards of hygiene, housekeeping and safe working practices.

*

Asset Care — complete scheduled maintenance tasks and condition monitoring.

*

Process optimisation — adjust settings to improve material distribution, weights and bottle dimensions.

*

Overhaul support — assist with annual strip‑downs and rebuilds.

*

Training & mentoring — develop colleagues and apprentices in processing, fault finding and repair.

*

Continuous improvement — drive efficiency, reliability and quality improvements across the blow moulding area.

????️ REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

*

Krones/Sidel experience — proven background working on Krones or Sidel blow moulding machines.

*

Mechanical engineering — ideally time‑served apprenticeship (C&G, SVQ or equivalent).

*

Electrical competence — ability to diagnose and repair electrical faults; understanding of electrical safety standards.

*

PLC knowledge — programming, fault finding and control panel wiring.

*

Tooling & mould change — knowledge of tooling change steps and line change processes.

*

Component‑level fault finding — strong diagnostic capability.

*

Engineering tools proficiency — confident using hand tools, measuring equipment and workshop tools.

*

Machine optimisation — able to set up, adjust and maintain machines to peak efficiency.

*

Overhaul capability — able to overhaul machine parts including low/high‑pressure valves.
