Location: Slough, UK

Department: Biomarker Assay Sciences, Early Clinical Development and Translational Science (ECD&TS)

Salary: £20.03 per hour

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day

The Biomarker Assay Sciences group is an integral part of Early Clinical Development and Translational Science (ECD&TS) department, providing strategic support in various areas including pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics, DMPK, biomarker analysis, immunogenicity, safety, clinical development, and regulatory activities. We work on diverse pharmacological candidates, including novel chemical, biological, and gene therapy-derived assets, from target identification to clinical studies.

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Biomarker Scientist to join our team and serve as a Subject Matter Expert in clinical transcriptomics. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and providing technical oversight of Biomarker Transcriptomics activities outsourced to CROs. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to enhance your skills and contribute to lab-based projects within the Biomarker Assay Sciences team, collaborating with specialists in Immunohistochemistry, Flow Cytometry, Ligand Binding, and LC-MS fields.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and provide technical oversight of Biomarker Transcriptomics activities outsourced to CROs.
Expand skills and contribute to lab-based projects alongside biomarker specialists.
Collaborate closely with colleagues across the organization to support bioanalysis and biomarker activities.
Maintain strong written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrate self-motivation and adaptability to meet the demands of a fast-paced matrix-team environment.Requirements:
