BIM Modeller
Cardiff
£40k - £50k + package
Sphere Solutions are currently recruiting for a BIM Modeller to work for a large oversees contractor on the new Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff.
Role Purpose:
The BIM Modeller will work closely with our Design Management and Construction teams to utilize BIM modelling to create coordination and detail drawings that are of the highest level of detail and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
* Support the BIM Manager and Information Manager on the day-to-day BIM modeling and coordination tasks.
* Responsible for the day-to day maintenance and development of federated cloud base Revit model using ACC.
* Time-management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
* Manage and coordinate BIM standards development, implementation, and quality on all related files and models.
* Provide CAD drafting/BIM modeling support.
* Develop BIM plans and understand the scope of work for subcontractors.
* Demonstrate a strong understanding of constructions workflow processes and priorities (knowledge of ISO (phone number removed) and 2).
* Ability to manage multiple ongoing and complex design disciplines (architecture, structure and M&E) while being able to successfully meet the requirements.
* Troubleshoot any BIM related issues.
* Contribute to the documentation, dissemination and monitoring of standards, best practices, and industry advancements.
* Keen attention to detail.
Essential Criteria:
* Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
* Minimum 3 years of experience in the construction industry
OR:
* Minimum of 6 years of experience in the construction industry in a similar role.
* Proficiency in creating coordination drawings that incorporate architecture, structural, and M&E elements.
* Strong proficiency with Revit.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and plans.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable Criteria:
* Knowledge of Navisworks
* Knowledge of the Spanish and/or Portuguese language
* Knowledge of the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
