Role:

Creating a hive of activity, the small and dynamic Bid Writing team, work in collaboration with the Sales Team, in a modern and cooperative office space. A company that exhibits sociable, personable and passionate employees with a professional front face.

As the Bid Writer, you will be expected to:

Develop tailored answers and write method statements for each bid, aligning with local authority requirements and ensuring win themes are clearly communicated to produce superior, sales-focused proposals.
Work towards timescale based KPIs and contribute towards wider department targets, always aiming to prepare and complete bids promptly, without sacrificing quality for speed.
Carry out market research before client meetings and take part in the wider pre-planning of meetings.
You will be required to open and head up client meetings.
Gather required information from clients and other external parties.
Draft and re-write content when needed.
Ensure that the bid library is maintained, updated and improvements are made where required. You will also regularly review already used bids to help improve content and success moving forward.
Work productively and effectively with the wider team and departments.
Write proposal responses for your seniors, highlighting any issues that need addressing.
Generate presentations and handout Requirements:

To be successful as the Bid Writer you will at least 2 years transferable experience in Bid Writing, Copy Writing or Sales, or have a relatable degree. As you can imagine, as the Bid Writer you will have a keen passion for writing and content creation, and a skillset to match this with impeccable written skills.

In addition to the above, as the Bid Writer:

This role requires a certain style of writing: you need to be able to write persuasive, concise and uber effective prose. With experience of writing with purpose and strategy, and the aim of creating a sale.
Present excellent editing skills that ensure consistency and accuracy.
Work in an organised, methodical and often reactive way to meet workload demands and juggle multiple bids at one time.
Attention to detail, attention to detail, attention to detail!
You will offer flexibility and a driven attitude, with the motivation to want to meet deadlines that are particularly tight, sometimes seeing you working slightly over your standard hours. (This is by no means a regularly occurrence.)
