Salary: £40,000 to £55,000 per annum

This leading construction company is looking for an experienced Bid Writer to join their submissions team. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the development and production of winning Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs) and Tender responses. You will ensure that all written and visual content meets client requirements and stands out in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities:

· Produce high-quality written responses for PQQs and Tenders, including unique responses, references, case studies, CVs, and project experience.

· Support the Head of Submissions and Bid Managers in the creation of PQQ and Tender responses.

· Ensure compliance with internal processes and procedures for managing submissions and bid-related information.

· Facilitate storyboarding sessions with subject matter experts, ensuring comprehensive and engaging content.

· Provide ongoing support to contributors, ensuring responses meet client requirements.

· Create final publications and ensure timely delivery to clients.

· Maintain the document management system, ensuring a complete record of submissions.

· Identify and rework existing pre-written content where relevant.

· Work under demanding and changeable deadlines in a highly pressured environment.

Skills and Qualifications:

· Background or previous experience in journalism or professional writing.

· Demonstrable experience in planning and producing successful quality/submission documents.

· Degree educated (ideally in English Literature) or journalistic/professional writing background.

· High level of competence in written English and creative approach to producing submissions, as well as proofreading and formatting experience.

· Knowledge of Health & Safety Business systems and the construction market.

· Technical knowledge of civil engineering/construction is a plus

· APMP Foundation qualification is desirable but not essential

· Capability to coach subject matter experts in writing best practices.

· Innovative and creative mindset with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
