Bid Writer – Facilities Management

Employment type: Permanent, Full-time Mon – Fri

Location: Swanley, Kent

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 (depending on experience)

It’s this approach that’s seen us grow so rapidly that we now require a Bid Writer to join our Facilities Management Department.

Job Requirements

* Collaborate with the Management team to create bid documents, tenders, PQQs, and presentations.

* Gather content relevant to bidding from various departments, pre-contracts, contracts, marketing, and management to include in submissions. Review and edit content to ensure accuracy and clarity.

* Check for correct use of grammar, spelling, and formatting.

* Participate in draft reviews, workshops, run-throughs, and presentations as required.

* Develop a deep understanding of the industry, competitors, and supply chain.

* Create marketing content that helps achieve the overall marketing function.

Skills and experience:

* Educated to Degree level.

* Broad experience in Adobe

* IT literate - Microsoft 365.

* Having prior experience in working on submissions, bids, and/or pitch documents would be beneficial.

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

* Excellent skills in copy-editing, proofreading, and paying attention to detail.

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

* Highly organised, able to work across multiple projects simultaneously.

* Self-motivated and reliable.

* Able to work under pressure to tight deadlines.

* Eager to learn and develop within the company and receive necessary training.

Who we’re looking for;

We are looking for an individual who is ready to embark on a career path in an administrative environment, but with a technical lead. A background in bid writing would be beneficial. The successful applicant will be working closely with the Operation and Technical Services Managers.

The key purpose of the role will be to ensure clients receive quotes/estimates within service level agreements ensuring high standards are consistently met together with observing all legal, statutory, and regulatory requirements. We will provide all the necessary training and give you the opportunity to develop the role. The successful candidate must be willing to learn and self-motivated.
