Job Title: Bid Writer

Location: Home-based with some travel when required

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Total Hours Per Week: 40 hours

Role Overview:

Our client is a leading education and social welfare organization that has been operating since 2012. They are dedicated to providing high-quality skills-related programs and social services, supporting individuals in various areas such as retraining, vocational training, adult education, and social support services. With a workforce of 126 staff and 15 offices, they have positively impacted over 11,493 individuals since their inception. Their esteemed clientele includes the Department for Education, Ministry of Justice, Department for Work and Pensions, Welsh Government, and twelve local authorities.

They are currently seeking an experienced Bid Writer to join their dynamic team. This full-time remote role entails close collaboration with the CEO, management team, and delivery staff to develop, write, and edit bid proposals that adhere to commissioner specifications and company standards. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in contributing to the organization's ongoing expansion plans.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify suitable bid opportunities across various commissioners.

Write, review, and edit bidding material to meet commissioner specifications and company standards.

Ensure bid responses reflect win themes and maximize quality scores.

Coordinate with management and operations to review bid content and contribute to operational and commercial modelling.

Develop partnerships with larger organizations for sub-contracting opportunities.

Manage documentation and processes in line with company policies.
Essential/Desirable Criteria:

Experience in bid writing in Education and Skills, Welfare to Work, Prisons, or Social Services.

Travel to offices/premises when required (remote role).

Track record of successful bid writing.

Analytical mind and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Commercial awareness and budgeting skills.

Strong time management skills and ability to meet multiple deadlines.
