Description:

Bid Writer – Healthcare Facilities Management

Home-Based / Remote (UK) | £47,000 – £53,000 | Permanent

The Opportunity

We're working with a leading UK facilities management and support services organisation to recruit an experienced Bid Writer into its Healthcare division.

This is an opportunity to join an established, successful business with a significant presence across the UK healthcare sector, supporting the development of high-quality, competitive tender submissions for both new business opportunities and existing contract renewals.

Working closely with Bid Managers, Business Development and operational teams, you'll play a key role in translating complex service solutions into compelling, commercially focused proposals that demonstrate value and differentiate the business from its competitors.

The Role

As Bid Writer, you'll take responsibility for developing persuasive, well-structured tender responses, ensuring submissions are tailored to client requirements and aligned with the organisation's wider commercial strategy.

Your responsibilities will include:

*

Producing high-quality written responses for complex, high-value healthcare and facilities management tenders.

*

Developing compelling bid narratives, storyboards and win themes aligned with evaluation criteria.

*

Collaborating with Bid Managers, Business Development, operational and subject matter experts to gather and develop content.

*

Translating technical and operational information into clear, persuasive and client-focused proposals.

*

Reviewing and improving existing bid content, identifying opportunities to strengthen evidence, case studies and supporting material.

*

Ensuring all written submissions meet client specifications, compliance requirements and internal quality standards.

*

Supporting the development and maintenance of bid libraries, templates and best-practice materials.

*

Contributing to continuous improvement across the wider bidding process.

About You

We're looking for an accomplished Bid Writer who understands how to develop successful tender responses within a competitive, service-led environment.

Ideally, you'll bring:

*

Proven experience writing successful bids within Facilities Management, outsourced services or a closely related sector.

*

Experience of healthcare contracts or public-sector procurement, which would be particularly advantageous.

*

A strong understanding of tender evaluation criteria, bid methodologies and the development of effective win themes.

*

Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to turn complex information into engaging, concise and persuasive content.

*

Experience collaborating with operational, commercial and technical stakeholders.

*

Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.

*

A proactive, organised and collaborative approach.

Experience within Soft FM services, including cleaning, catering, portering or wider healthcare support services, would be especially relevant.

What's on Offer

*

Salary: £48,000 – £50,000

*

Location: Home-based / remote, with occasional travel for meetings and client engagements.

*

Contract: Permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week).

*

The opportunity to contribute to significant, high-profile healthcare contracts.

*

An established bid and commercial function, with access to experienced operational and subject matter experts.

*

A collaborative working environment within a major UK support services organisation.

If you're an experienced Bid Writer with a background in Facilities Management or outsourced services, we'd welcome a confidential conversation.
