£70,000 - £80,000 (DOE, Negotiable)

The Company -

A leading contractor offering turnkey solutions for energy projects across the UK including grid infrastructure projects, installation of battery storage plants, solar energy projects and civil engineering services.

The Role -

We are seeking a dynamic Bid Manager with a background in electrical engineering and project management, ideally with experience in both distribution and transmission-connected solar PV and battery energy storage projects. The ideal candidate will take charge of the company's prequalification and tender submissions, manage the bid team, conduct necessary research and oversee the preparation and delivery of proposals and presentations.

Responsibilities -

- Utilize strong electrical engineering expertise and project management skills to drive bid success.

- Lead the prequalification and tender submission process, ensuring alignment with company objectives.

- Conduct thorough research to identify opportunities and gather necessary information for bids.

- Manage the preparation and delivery of compelling proposals and presentations.

- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive bid strategies.

- Maintain awareness of industry trends and regulatory requirements to inform bid approaches.

- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients and partners.

- Ensure compliance with client requirements and deadlines throughout the bid process.

- Continuously improve bid processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Criteria -

- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field and project management certification would be desirable.

- Around 5 years of experience in bid management within the renewable energy sector.

- Proven track record of successful prequalification and tender submissions for solar PV and battery energy storage projects.

- Strong understanding of both distribution and transmission-connected systems.

- Excellent research skills and attention to detail.

- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
