Bid Manager
Location: Farringdon, London
The Opportunity
A well-established design and build fit-out contractor is looking to appoint a Bid Manager to join its growing team in Farringdon.
Specialising in CAT A and CAT B commercial fit-out projects valued up to £10 million, this is a fantastic opportunity for a creative and organised bid professional who enjoys taking ownership of the entire bid process. You'll be responsible for producing high-quality, visually engaging submissions while coordinating internal teams to ensure all information is delivered accurately and on time.
This role would suit someone with a strong eye for design, exceptional project management skills, and advanced Adobe InDesign experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the end-to-end bid process from PQQ through to final tender submission.
* Produce engaging, high-quality bid documents and client proposals using Adobe InDesign.
* Coordinate internal stakeholders to ensure technical, commercial and operational information is submitted within programme deadlines.
* Develop bid programmes and manage key milestones throughout the submission process.
* Write, edit and proofread compelling bid content tailored to each opportunity.
* Work closely with Directors, Estimators, Project Managers and the Pre-Construction team to gather information.
* Ensure all submissions are compliant, professionally presented and submitted on time.
* Maintain and develop a library of bid content, case studies and company information.
* Continuously improve bid quality, presentation and processes.
* Attend tender kick-off meetings, reviews and client presentations where required.
About You
* Previous experience as a Bid Manager, Bid Coordinator or Proposals Manager within the construction or fit-out sector.
* Experience managing bids for CAT A and CAT B commercial fit-out projects is highly desirable.
* Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign is essential.
* Strong ability to design professional, client-facing proposal documents.
* Strong written communication and proofreading skills.
* Ability to manage multiple live bids simultaneously.
* Highly organised, proactive and able to work effectively under pressure.
Desirable
* Experience within a commercial fit-out business.
* Understanding of construction terminology and procurement routes
