Description:
We are looking for a benefits assistant to To provide admin support in the administration of Housing Benefit, Council Tax Reduction, and Discretionary Hardship Payments schemes.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative, including prioritising of own workload to meet required deadlines.
You will have good communication skills, both written and oral along with good numeracy skills. You will have excellent ability to communicate with customers and colleagues.
You will be able to organise and prioritise your workload and take responsibility to work accurately, efficiently and ensure deadlines are met. You will have the ability to work under pressure, as part of a team and with minimum supervision.
Experience of using spreadsheets and ability to adapt to changing ICT requirements.
Ability to manage conflicting priorities in a pressurised working environment that are subject to frequently changing circumstances in order to achieve targets
Experience of working in an administrative capacity and housing
