Salary: DOE - (Depending on experience)
Hours: 40 hours - Monday to Friday - 07:30 - 16:00

Our client is looking for an experienced Bench Hand to join their workshop team on a full time, permanent basis.

They are looking for a skilled and reliable Bench Hand to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in producing high-quality products and has a real eye for detail.

Working as part of an experienced team, you will assemble furniture from CNC-machined components, using a range of hand and power tools while working to drawings and plans.

Key Responsibilities

* Assemble furniture accurately from CNC-machined components

* Use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively

* Read and interpret technical drawings and plans

* Carry out quality checks throughout the assembly process

* Check finished and in-process work for defects before products leave the workshop

* Identify and resolve any issues during the assembly process

* Work accurately and efficiently to meet deadlines and client requirements

* Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment

* Work independently as well as collaboratively as part of the workshop team

* Support general workshop duties and continuous improvement when required.

What they're looking for

* Previous experience as a Bench Hand, joiner, furniture maker, cabinet maker or furniture assembler is essential

* Good practical skills and confidence using hand and power tools

* Ability to read and accurately follow technical drawings and plans

* Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship

* Good problem-solving skills and a practical approach to resolving issues

* Ability to work accurately and efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards

* Good communication and teamwork skills

* Reliable, motivated and committed to producing quality work

* Physically fit, with the ability to lift and handle furniture and materials

* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
