Lighting Sales Manager / Country Manager - Belgium
Our client is a leading lighting manufacturer currently looking for an ambitious Country Manager to drive growth across the Belgian market.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused sales professional with experience within professional lighting, lighting controls or a closely related technical building-products sector. The successful candidate will have an established network in Belgium and a proven ability to generate new business and develop specification-led opportunities.
You'll be responsible for developing new business, securing major projects and building long-term relationships with consultants, contractors, end users, distributors and key decision makers across Belgium.
Key Responsibilities
Develop new business opportunities across the Belgian market.
Build and manage relationships with key accounts and project stakeholders.
Identify specification opportunities and convert projects into sales.
Develop relationships with consultants, lighting designers, contractors, end users and distributors.
Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations and customer visits.
Develop opportunities across industrial, logistics, infrastructure, healthcare and data-centre sectors.
Work collaboratively with the existing agent network to maximise opportunities and avoid channel conflict.
Coordinate quotations, technical information and project requirements with the wider team.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity and new business opportunities.
Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular pipeline and sales forecasts.
Requirements
Proven experience in Business Development, Specification Sales or Solutions Sales.
Experience within the Belgian professional lighting or technical building-products market.
Strong existing network and ability to generate new business independently.
Strong account management and project development skills.
Proven track record converting specification-led opportunities into sales.
Good understanding of professional lighting, lighting controls and energy-saving solutions.
Experience managing complex sales involving multiple stakeholders.
Fluent Dutch/Flemish and French preferred, with professional English highly desirable.
Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
Full driving licence and willingness to travel throughout Belgium.
