Behaviour Support Mentor

A Primary Pupil Referral Unit School based in Leyland is looking for full-time behaviour support teaching assistants to make a difference to their school.

This school is commissioned by Lancashire Education Authority to provide full time education for pupils from Reception to Year 6 (4 to 11 years old) who have been permanently excluded from their schools.

The pupils here have SEMH additional needs and will have an EHC plan in place to support their learning and needs. You will be required to adhere to their EHC plan and differentiate your approach to meet each individual pupils needs.

To be successful, experience supporting children/ young adults with additional needs is essential. Ideally this would be in an educational setting however the school will accept individuals who have experience in support work, care work etc. All we ask if you have a passion for helping individuals and are keen to learn.

Full-time role, Monday to Friday (8:30-3:30pm) start date ASAP or 1st September 2024.
Term-time only role.
PAYE contract.
Primary SEMH Provision.
Leyland based, (PR25).
Competitive hourly rate of pay of £12.90+ per hour depending on experience and additional duties.
