Behaviour Support Assistant - Wandsworth - SEMH School - £95-£115 a day (depending on experience) - Full Time - Immediate Start

Behaviour Support Assistant - Previous experience supporting pupils with behavioural or SEMH needs required
Behaviour Support Assistant - Experience working in a SEMH school, PRU or alternative provision desirable
Behaviour Support Assistant - Must be confident with behaviour management and de-escalation strategies
Behaviour Support Assistant - Required full time ASAPHave you previously worked as a Behaviour Support Assistant, Behaviour Mentor or Teaching Assistant?
Do you have experience supporting pupils with behavioural or emotional needs?
Are you able to build positive relationships with young people and promote positive behaviour?

The Role - Behaviour Support Assistant
Seeking a resilient and proactive Behaviour Support Assistant to support pupils aged 11-16 within a specialist SEMH setting in Wandsworth. You will work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams and the wider support team to provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support. The role involves implementing behaviour support strategies, using de-escalation techniques, promoting emotional regulation and helping pupils remain engaged with their learning. You will act as a positive role model and help pupils develop the confidence and resilience needed to re-engage with education.

This specialist secondary provision is located in Tooting within the London Borough of Wandsworth and is within walking distance of a nearby London Underground station. The school supports pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs and provides a structured, supportive environment focused on behaviour, wellbeing and re-engagement with education.
