Are you passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?

We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join a specialist school in the BS15 area, supporting students with a range of SEMH needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people who require additional support to engage in education and reach their full potential.

The Role

Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with SEMH needs
Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
Help students overcome barriers to learning
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff
Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

Experience working with children or young people
Background in education, mentoring, youth work, care, or support work desirable
Calm, patient, and resilient approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Passion for supporting vulnerable young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
