Behaviour Mentor - Secondary Academy in Rochdale
Start: ASAP
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15am-3:15pm
Contract: Ongoing temporary role via Tradewind
Tradewind are looking for a calm, confident, and supportive Behaviour Mentor to join a fantastic secondary academy in Rochdale. This is an immediate-start supply role, perfect for someone passionate about supporting young people and helping them thrive in school.
You'll work closely with the school's pastoral team, supporting students with behaviour, engagement, emotional needs, and confidence building - helping them stay focused, safe, and ready to learn.
Ideal Background:
We'd love to hear from you if you have experience in any of the following:
Working with teenagers in schools, youth projects, community groups, or performing arts
Supporting young people with behaviour, emotional regulation, or confidence
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach in challenging situations
Understanding of trauma, attachment issues, or SEMH needs (desirable, not essential)
TA qualifications are great but not required - full training providedRecruitment Criteria (Required):
At least 3 months of recent experience working as a teaching assistant in a UK school, supported by detailed references
TA qualifications are beneficial but not essential
Must hold or be willing to apply for an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS, and provide Overseas Police Checks if applicable
Must provide a CV with full employment and education history, with all gaps explained
