Location: Oldham, Greater Manchester

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Start Date: September 2024

Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Behaviour Mentor to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to support positive behaviour and emotional well-being, ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one and group support to students to promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.

Develop and implement behaviour management plans and strategies in collaboration with teachers and support staff.

Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.

Support the development of social skills, self-regulation, and resilience in students.

Work closely with teachers to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.

Assist in conflict resolution and mediation between students.

Provide guidance and support during transitions and changes in students' lives.

Facilitate workshops and activities focused on positive behaviour and emotional well-being.

Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student behaviour and interventions.

Key Requirements:

Previous experience as a Behaviour Mentor, Teaching Assistant, or in a similar role is preferred.

Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field are desirable.

Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting student well-being.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

A proactive and flexible approach to meeting the needs of students.
