* Assist teachers with lessons, classroom activities and structured learning.

* Encourage positive behaviour and help pupils develop emotional regulation strategies.

* Build trusting relationships that promote confidence, engagement and participation.

* Help create a safe, structured and inclusive environment where pupils feel supported.

* Establish clear boundaries while responding calmly and appropriately to behaviours that challenge.

About You

Previous experience in a school or educational setting is advantageous but not essential. We are keen to hear from candidates with relevant transferable skills from backgrounds such as:

* Youth Work and Mentoring

* Care and Support Work

* Sports Coaching

* Residential Care

* Mental Health Support

* Working With Children and Young People

Skills and Qualities

* Confident supporting pupils who display behaviours that challenge.

* Patient, resilient and able to remain calm in challenging situations.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Able to build positive relationships while maintaining consistent boundaries.

* Flexible, proactive and adaptable to pupils' individual needs.

* Understanding of the importance of emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour.

* Passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential.

What We Offer

* The opportunity to gain valuable experience within a specialist SEMH setting.

* A welcoming and supportive team environment.

* Temporary positions with the potential to become permanent for the right candidates.

* A rewarding opportunity to make a lasting difference to young people's lives.

If you're passionate about supporting young people, building positive relationships and helping pupils succeed both inside and outside the classroom, we'd love to hear from you
