About the Role
Raise Education & Wellbeing School are seeking a resilient, compassionate and proactive Behaviour Intervention Support Assistant to join their trauma-informed team across their Bolton sites on a temp to perm basis.
You will support pupils aged 11–19 with SEMH, ASC and complex behavioural and emotional needs, helping them to regulate emotions, re-engage with learning and develop positive coping strategies in a structured, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small group behaviour intervention support
Support pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
Implement Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) and EHCP targets
Use de-escalation and co-regulation approaches during challenging situations
Build strong, consistent relationships with pupils to improve engagement and attendance
Support transitions between lessons, break times and learning environments
Assist teaching staff with tailored learning activities
Record observations and contribute to progress and behaviour tracking systems
The Ideal Candidate
Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH, ASC or behavioural needs
Calm, patient and emotionally resilient approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Understanding of trauma-informed and attachment-aware practice
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Experience in education, youth work, care or similar settings (desirable)
Additional Requirements
Must be a driver with access to a vehicle
Ability to travel between both Bolton school sites as required
Mileage paid for travel between school sites
