Are you an experienced Banksman looking for your next opportunity?

Regional Recruitment are recruiting for a Banksman to join a reputable and growing construction services company. This is a site‑based, safety‑critical role requiring a reliable, proactive individual who can work independently and as part of a wider team. You will be responsible for directing vehicle and plant movement, ensuring safe operations, and maintaining excellent communication across busy construction environments.

Qualifications

Essential:

Valid Banksman/Traffic Marshal certification

CSCS Card

Strong understanding of site safety protocols

Desirable:

CPCS or NPORS Plant/Vehicle Marshalling qualification

Experience working on large construction or civils projects

First Aid certification

Roles & Responsibilities

Direct and coordinate the movement of vehicles, plant, and machinery on site

Maintain safe access and egress routes for all personnel and vehicles

Communicate clearly with drivers, plant operators, and site management

Ensure all lifting, reversing, and manoeuvring operations are carried out safely

Monitor site activity and proactively identify potential hazards

Support site teams with general labouring duties when required

Maintain excellent timekeeping and follow daily schedules

Uphold professional conduct and comply with company uniform standards

Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work across multiple sites in Rugby and surrounding areas

Assist in emergency situations and follow all site safety procedures

Requirements

As a Banksman, you will also be expected to:

Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time

Ensure all documentation is submitted to Head Office no later than the following Monday

Communicate site data to the Operations Assistant in the correct format

Maintain high standards of safety, compliance, and professionalism at all times

Health, Safety & Compliance

All employees are required to:

Comply with all employment legislation and relevant codes of good practice

Take reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of others, in line with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974

Co‑operate fully with the company and colleagues to ensure statutory and safety requirements are met at all times
