Our client runs an award-winning charitable, not-for-profit nursing home providing nursing, dementia, respite and end-of-life care, alongside a thriving Day Centre and Home Care service. For over 30 years, we have supported older people to live with dignity, independence and purpose in a warm, welcoming environment.

The role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our experienced nursing team following the retirement of a long-serving colleague. Initially offered as a bank position, there is the opportunity for hours to become permanent towards the new year.

You will provide safe, effective and person-centred nursing care while leading and supervising the care team on duty. Responsibilities include:

*

Assessing, planning and reviewing residents' nursing care.

*

Administering medication and maintaining accurate clinical records.

*

Monitoring residents' wellbeing and responding to changing clinical needs.

Supporting residents with dementia, complex nursing, respite and end-of-life care.

Leading and supervising staff, delegating duties and ensuring safe care delivery.

Liaising with GPs, families and other healthcare professionals.

*

Maintaining safeguarding, CQC and NMC standards.

Requirements

*

Current NMC registration as an RGN or RMN.

*

Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.

*

Excellent communication and teamwork.

*

Commitment to dignity, safeguarding and person-centred care.

Willingness to work weekends on an ad hoc basis.

Experience in nursing homes, dementia care, palliative care or supervising staff is desirable.
