Thrive Group are delighted to be working with our client ear Bath who is actively looking to recruit a Bakery Supervisor to join the team on a permanent basis.
This is an opportunity for someone who combines practical baking knowledge with the ability to lead, motivate and develop a team, ensuring production runs smoothly while maintaining the highest standards of quality
What you will be doing:
Supervising daily bakery production, ensuring products meet quality and consistency standards.
Leading, supporting and coaching a team of bakers to achieve production targets.
Supporting dough preparation, mixing, shaping, proofing and baking.
Monitoring production schedules and ensuring work is completed on time.
Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, health and safety.
Managing stock levels and ensuring ingredients are available and used efficiently.
Identifying and resolving production issues, including dough and equipment problems.
Supporting the recruitment, training and development of team members.
What you will need to succeed:
Previous experience in a bakery or food production environment.
A solid understanding of artisan bread and pastry techniques.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team.
Excellent organisation and the ability to manage production schedules.
Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and health and safety standards.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
What you will receive in return:
Working 45 hours per week (any 5 days out of 7) - includes weekends
17.00PM to 02.00AM
£36,738.00 per annum
20 days annual leave plus 8 Bank holidays
