Role the stability, security, and scalability of cloud platforms that represent the core of the UK National Lottery IT infrastructure as well as designing, implementing and maintaining cloud infrastructure in AWS. Key aspects of this role include collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand and address platform needs, using DevOps best practices to build and maintain the platform in a repeatable, reliable, efficient manner and overseeing platform deliveries and modifications. 

Role and Responsibilities:
Understanding of and experience with the five pillars of a well-architected framework.
Extensive experience working on AWS platforms.
Expertise in infrastructure as code (IaC).  Principally Terraform.  Knowledge of 
CloudFormation would be advantageous..
Good knowledge of networking, security, and compliance within cloud environments.
Strong knowledge of containerization technologies.  Eg Docker, ECS
Expertise in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Workflows and Actions.
Good scripting skills (Bash, Python)
Working knowledge of databases and SQL
Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and optimise performance.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
A proactive approach to Cloud platform support and improvements.Key E Have:

AWS certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect) preferred.
3+ years of proven experience in a similar role, with a demonstrable track record of success in managing AWS environments.
A knowledge of MS Azure would be an advantage.Nice to Have (Differentiators):

Should you not disclose convictions at the application stage, not pass the Fit & Proper Check process or not complete your Pre-Employment Screening then unfortunately you may not pass our probation process.
