This is an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled engineer with experience in audiovisual (AV), video conferencing (VC) and unified communications (UC) technologies. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality customer service, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, and ensuring AV systems operate reliably and efficiently.

Working both on-site and remotely, you will play a key role in meeting service-level agreements (SLAs), maintaining customer satisfaction and ensuring faults are resolved promptly.

Install, maintain, test and troubleshoot AV, video conferencing and unified communications systems.

Respond to service requests and resolve technical issues within agreed service-level targets.

Manage and update fault tickets accurately, ensuring progress and resolutions are documented.

Carry out preventative maintenance visits to maintain system performance and reliability.

Conduct site surveys and support small-scale AV installations, including testing and client handovers.

Provide technical support for meetings, events and AV facilities when required.

Coordinate site visits, engineering activities and customer communications.

Travel between client locations as required, including potential European travel.

Manage customer expectations and escalate complex technical issues appropriately.

Maintain accurate service documentation and complete all relevant administrative tasks.

Follow health and safety procedures and company policies at all times.

Identify opportunities to improve service delivery, technical processes and customer experience.

Essential Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will have:

Proven experience in AV field service engineering or a similar technical support role.

Strong technical knowledge of AV, video conferencing and unified communications technologies.

Experience diagnosing and resolving hardware, software and connectivity issues.

Excellent customer service and client communication skills.

The ability to manage service tickets, prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines.

A calm, professional approach when dealing with technical issues and escalations.

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

The ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team.

A flexible approach to travel, site requirements and changing priorities.

Additional Requirements

Willingness to travel between client sites as required.

Flexibility to work rotational shifts when necessary.

A full UK driving licence would be advantageous for this field-based position.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

Flexibility may be required to meet client requirements and service commitments.

What We Offer

A competitive salary based on experience.

The opportunity to work across a variety of client sites and AV environments.

Exposure to a broad range of AV and unified communications technologies.

The opportunity to develop technical expertise through ongoing training and professional development.

If you are an experienced AV Engineer who enjoys troubleshooting, working directly with customers and delivering reliable technical solutions, we would love to hear from you
