Role: SNR / AV Engineer
Location: Overseas Contract Work (Caribbean)
Salary: £165-£185 per day depending on experience plus all expenses. (Equivalent pro rate salary £42,900 - £48,000)
We are currently seeking a highly skilled AV Engineer to join our team working on multiple projects across the Caribbean. We are based in York and require AV - IT engineers from the North interested in working overseas on contracts between 2 weeks to 2 months. This role is ideal for an individual with a robust understanding of full system engineering, including knowledge of Crestron products, BSS and Q-Sys DSP platforms. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in IP setups, networking, and professional AV equipment, showcasing both independent and team-oriented capabilities.
Responsibilities:
* Perform 1st and 2nd fix installation capabilities for audio-visual systems.
* Perform 1st and send fix installation capabilities for KNX system.
* Conduct surveys to assess client needs and project requirements.
* Manage client handovers, ensuring satisfaction and understanding of the installed systems.
* Lead a team of engineers on site, providing guidance and ensuring project objectives are met and act as the clients go to person on site.
* Execute DSP programming and system integration for optimal system performance.
* Install audio racks, managing equipment organisation and setup.
* Responsible for identifying and terminating connectors/ cables for a variety of systems.
* Conduct testing & commissioning of AV systems to ensure functionality and client requirements are met.
* Implement video conferencing solutions, integrating modern communication technologies.
Experience and Certifications Required:
* Understanding of full system engineering with a focus on Crestron products, BSS and Q-Sys DSP platforms.
* Knowledge of IP setups and networking principles.
* Experience with 1st and 2nd fix Cat5, Cat6, and video cabling.
* Excellent knowledge of professional AV equipment.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal, and presentability.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, taking responsibility when needed.
