AV Engineer

Description:

A small, growing company supplying high quality audio-visual solutions are looking to recruit an experienced AV Engineer to carry out installation, service, and maintenance activities at client premises. Candidates will need to have previous experience, be well presented with excellent customer service skills and will be prepared to travel

The role:

Liaise with the team to fully understand project brief as agreed by the client.
Conduct installation, sub-assembly (i.e. Rack build), repair, test and commissioning of AV and related equipment.
Carry out Repairs and servicing of equipment both in the workshop and on site.
Provide on-site training to clients in the use of equipment.
Communicate project progress and raise any issues and needs to management
Carry out Goods-In and Goods-out and warehousing processes.
Ensure workshop and warehouse are kept clean, tidy and safe.
Meet milestones and project deadlines agreed
Source and procure parts and consumables as required

What's required:

Must have a proven track record in audio visual equipment installation and/or service.
Cable management/installation, termination of power, sound, lighting, video and networking cables experience is preferable
Experience of typical AV digital control protocols (i.e Dante, DMX, ArtNet, HD-BaseT etc.) would be preferred
Test & fault-finding skills, soldering, networking, manufacturers design, set-up & control applications experience is ideal
Candidates will need to reside near Braintree

Hours 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday additional hours may be required whilst out on site
