Are you an experienced Test Engineer seeking a new opportunity to grow your career? ASL Technical are now working with a leading Automotive Manufacturer as they look to expand their New Vehicle Electrical Reliability team.
Main Purpose of Automotive Test Engineer – Electrical Reliability
Support / Lead Electrical & Electronic Test team with development and management of HILS system for Body Electronics and Powertrain systems and testing on Electrical Integrated PlatForm.
Lead concern identification to root cause investigation including countermeasure recommendation.
Support both test and design departments to resolve issues with HILS models and testing.
Responsibilities of Automotive Test Engineer – Electrical Reliability
Creation of test plans to meet with project and design milestones.
Creation of testing procedures, confirmation of vehicle spec and test parts required or test.
Formal reporting of test results to design sections and to upper management.
Ability to prioritise and multitask between multiple projects simultaneously.
Focal technical point for all HILS related matters with Manufacturers overseas headquarters.
Experience / Knowledge for the Automotive Test Engineer – Electrical Reliability
Be degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline.
Have working knowledge of Automotive architecture – Ideally Japanese Manufacturers.
Understand electrical theory and the operation of electronic devices.
Understanding of the fundamentals electromagnetics.
Understanding of component and vehicle EMC test requirements.
Have relevant experience in automotive electrical and electronic system development, completing a minimum of two vehicle developments, or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience.
