Automation Test Lead
* Inside IR35
* Remote-based with occasional travel to Sheffield
Join a major global Identity & Access Management (IAM) transformation programme, delivering secure, scalable identity solutions across enterprise cloud environments.
We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Lead with a strong background in automation testing, technical leadership, and cloud-native testing. Essential experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is required.
You will lead the automation testing strategy, develop robust test frameworks, and drive quality across IAM platforms, APIs, identity orchestration, event-driven architectures, and CI/CD pipelines. Working closely with engineering, cloud security, and DevOps teams, you will ensure secure, resilient, and scalable identity services.
Essential experience:
* Extensive hands-on experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM).
* Strong experience testing solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
* Expertise in Python, Pytest, API automation, CI/CD, and cloud-native testing.
* Experience with identity protocols and technologies including SCIM, REST APIs, LDAP and OIDC.
* Knowledge of event-driven architectures (Pub/Sub, Kafka, queues) and policy-based access controls (RBAC, ABAC, ReBAC, PBAC).
* Proven ability to lead automation testing initiatives, mentor engineers, and engage with stakeholders.
* Experience with Agile delivery, JIRA and Zephyr.
