Sunderland

£350 - £450 per week

September 2024 ongoing (long-term role)

The School and Role

Vision for Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Assistant to work within a specialist SEND school in Sunderland. This full-time role starts in September 2024 and continues until July 2025. In your role as an Autism Support Assistant, you will be supporting learners who a diagnosis of Autism and other complex needs. Due to the varying levels of support the learners need you will be required to work closely alongside the class teacher and other support staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

Experience working with pupils with SEND.
A passion for the progression of SEND pupils.
An ability to work as part of a team.
A nurturing and engaging personality.
Experience working with EYFS/Primary/Secondary/post-16 pupils/or vulnerable adults.
