We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and competent Autism Support Worker to join a reputable SEN school in Sunderland that caters to pupils on the Autistic spectrum and with complex needs. This role is 5 days per week throughout the academic year, providing consistency for students to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting children with autism on an individual and group basis.
Assisting with in-class activities and assignments.
Implementing effective behaviour management strategies.
Assisting students with their daily routines.
Creating and maintaining individualised Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs).

Requirements:

Experience as an Autism Teaching Assistant or Support Worker (preferred but not required).
A positive and encouraging attitude.
Experience with behaviour management strategies.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
