Job Description: I am currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Workers to join our team. As an Autism Support Worker, you will play a key role in providing practical and emotional support to individuals with autism, helping them to develop essential life skills and achieve their personal goals.
Responsibilities:
Providing one-to-one support to individuals with autism in their home or community settings
Supporting individuals with daily tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and household chores
Assisting with educational and recreational activities
Implementing behaviour management strategies and supporting individuals to develop coping mechanisms
Providing emotional support and promoting independence and well-being
Liaising with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to care
Requirements:
Previous experience working with individuals with autism or learning disabilities is preferred but not essential
Understanding of autism spectrum disorders and knowledge of appropriate support strategies
Compassionate and patient nature
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Willingness to undergo training and development
