Are you passionate about supporting children with autism and helping them thrive in an educational setting?
We are looking for a caring, patient and enthusiastic Autism Support Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming specialist school based in Burgess Hill, supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and additional learning needs.
This is Autism Support Teaching Assistant in Burgess Hill is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous SEN experience, a background in childcare, or a Psychology graduate looking to gain valuable hands-on experience.
The Role - Autism Support Teaching Assistant:
Supporting children with ASD on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
Helping pupils develop their communication, social and independence skills.
Supporting children with sensory needs and emotional regulation.
Working closely with teachers and other SEN professionals.
Creating a positive, engaging and supportive learning environment.Who We're Looking For:
Previous experience with ASD, SEN, childcare or a similar setting is desirable.
Psychology, Education and Childhood Studies graduates are encouraged to apply.
A patient, nurturing and understanding approach.
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
