Description:
Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an Attendance Mentor to join Walsall Council on an initial 3-month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children and young people to access education and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities

Mentor, monitor and analyse attendance data.
*
Work with schools, pupils, parents, and professionals to address attendance concerns.
*
Support and review attendance improvement plans.
*
Attend meetings and liaise with partner agencies.
*
Maintain accurate records and case notes.
*
Promote positive attendance and early intervention.
Essential Requirements
*
Experience working as an Attendance Mentor in an educational setting
*
Experience working with children, young people, and families.
*
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
*
Strong attention to detail and record-keeping abilities.
*
Confidence working independently and as part of a team.
*
Good IT skills, including Microsoft 365, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
*
GCSE English and Maths Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
