Job Title: Associate Planning Consultant

Location: Bristol

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading multidisciplinary consultancy with the appointment of an experienced Associate Planning Consultant to join their growing London and South East planning team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a planning professional looking to work on a diverse range of major infrastructure, development and strategic planning projects, working alongside leading professionals across engineering, environment and design.

The Role

As an Associate Planning Consultant, you will:

Act as Planning Lead on a range of projects across different markets and sectors.
Lead and support the preparation of bids, tenders and framework submissions.
Take responsibility for project management, delivery and client outcomes.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across planning, engineering, environmental and design disciplines.
Provide guidance and support to junior members of the planning team.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
Identify and support new business and market growth opportunities.
Contribute to a range of major infrastructure and development projects across the UK.About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

A relevant degree in Planning or a related discipline.
RTPI membership or working towards membership.
Strong experience within planning, ideally across infrastructure, development or strategic planning.
Experience with the Environmental Impact Assessment process.
Good knowledge of planning policy and strategic planning.
Understanding of relevant planning and consenting processes, including TCPA, DCO and/or TWAO.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Experience working within multidisciplinary teams.
The confidence to develop and maintain client relationships.
Previous involvement in business development, bid preparation or work winning would be advantageous.The Company
