Principal or Associate Mechanical Engineer sought in Plymouth. We are proud to be working aside a highly efficient and passionate design consultancy specialising in Building Services as they expand their Engineering team in the South West, adding to the senior management team. Right now, our client is seeking a Senior character, ideally of an Associate or Principal level of experience, to join them as a Mechanical Engineer. Required to be possessing relevant degrees, however open to discussions with those holding equivalent M&E construction experience, authority, and varying qualifications.

Established 50+ years’ ago, our client is a ‘Building Top 150 consultancy’ working across the UK and Europe. Well-recognised for their flexible and efficient approach, and for being a passionate, professional service. Daily Duties of an Associate Mechanical Engineer:
Reporting to various Directors; responsible for resourcing within the mechanical team.
Managing a team of Engineers including Junior Engineers, Apprentices and Graduates
Produce design deliverables (including drawings, specifications & reports)
Check calculations and production of detailed drawings to ensure engineering designs meet appropriate quality and compliance controls, project briefs and customer requirements
Client-facing, making client presentations on selected projects
Plus, all traditional duties expected of a Senior / Associate Engineer What you’ll need to succeed as an Associate Mechanical Engineer:
BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering / Building Services Engineering or relevant equivalent
Relevant professional affiliation / chartership (MRICS / IEng / CEng / MCIBSE etc)
Demonstrating a minimum of 4 years’ Building Services design professional background
Understanding of commercial elements of projects
Experience in software design including IES, Revit or Hevacomp is highly desired but non-essential
