Then look no further as my award-winning client is looking out for an ambitious Associate (Infrastructure), with relevant UK experience of minimum 5+ years' within the drainage, infrastructure and highways sectors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Job Responsibilities:            

Focus on masterplanning development projects across all sectors to include regeneration, aviation, Infrastructure, industrial, and develop masterplan for submission to planning.
Client satisfaction and securing repeat business.
Demonstrate track record in undertaking Flood Risk Assessments (FRA), Surface and Foul Water Drainage Strategies and Design, Sustainable Urban Design Solutions (Blue/Green Roofs, Retention Basins, Rain Harvesting, Swales etc.) – for basements, public realm, site wide, to appropriate local planning policies and guidelines, Part L of the Building Regulations, Highways/Road Design and Sewers for Adoption.
Proactively and ethically motivate and lead project teams to deliver optimised and sustainable design and construction solutions.
Preparation of tenders/bids and fee proposals to capitalise on work winning opportunities.
Collect, prepare, and compile fee forecast and projections for the UK business.
Financial management to include cost control and invoicing.
Resource planning - allocate and assign resources to project teams under your direction.
Development of Senior and Design Engineers in their professional development and coach them to accept greater responsibility and accountability of the projects they are responsible for.
Arrange for effective mentoring to be provided to employees under your
direction so that they reach their full potential through career development and personal growth.
Identify training (either on-the-job or through suitable courses) for all employees under your direction.
Supervising staff under your direction and offering pro-active advice in relation to problem solving issues.
Onboarding of internal suppliers and procurement of external suppliers to undertake specialist services on behalf of BDP.
Commercial governance of projects to include commercial, financial and risk management.
Technical governance of projects in compliance with BDP IMS quality processes and procedures (ISO 9001 and 14001)
Actively participating in developing the UK practice including technical excellence, culture, procedures, professional development, and continuous improvement.
Developing and implementing company policy.
Compliance with and overseeing implementation of Health and Safety policies and procedures to include CDM Regulations 2015.

Successful candidate specifications:

Relevant degree in Civil Engineering (i.e. BEng (Hons)/MEng (Hons))
Chartered/Incorporated Status with ICE (or equivalent)
Minimum 5+ years’ experience designing and overseeing development of infrastructure, drainage, flood risk assessments and highways.
Experience working and collaborating with Lead Local Flood Authorities (LLFAs)
Demonstrated capacity to provide leadership to project teams over a range of projects
Proven and relevant delegation and negotiating skills alongside relevant project management experience
Experience of the following computer packages is essential: Microdrainage, Civils 3D and AutoCAD for drainage networks
