Associate Geotechnical Engineer
Location: London
Salary: £70,000 - £80,000
An established engineering consultancy is looking for an Associate Geotechnical Engineer to join their London team. This is a senior position suited to a Chartered Engineer with around 10 years' experience across ground investigation and geotechnical design.
The role will involve a combination of technical delivery, project management, client liaison and supporting the continued growth of the geotechnical team.
The Role
Lead and deliver geotechnical projects from investigation through to design and construction.
Manage ground investigation projects, including planning, specification and interpretation of results.
Undertake and review geotechnical analysis and design.
Prepare and review technical reports, specifications and design documentation.
Provide technical input across multidisciplinary infrastructure and development projects.
Manage project budgets, programmes and resources.
Liaise directly with clients, contractors and other design disciplines.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior and senior engineers.
Support business development and help develop existing client relationships.
Contribute to the continued growth and development of the geotechnical team.
About You
Chartered Engineer or equivalent professional qualification.
Around 10 years' experience in geotechnical engineering.
Strong experience across ground investigation and geotechnical design.
Good understanding of UK ground conditions and relevant design standards.
Experience managing projects and working directly with clients.
Strong technical report writing and communication skills.
Commercially aware with an interest in business development and team development.
