Description:

Associate Adviser (Trainee Pathway)
London | Self-employed | £2,000 monthly guaranteed payment + performance incentives

Build a successful career in financial advice with a clear pathway to becoming a Financial Adviser.

A growing St. James's Place Partner Practice in London is looking for an ambitious Associate Adviser to join its team, with a clear pathway towards becoming a Financial Adviser.

This role is aimed at someone early in their financial services career who wants more than an entry-level position. You might already have started your Level 4 Diploma, or you may be ready to commit to gaining your qualifications over the next 12-18 months.

You'll work closely with the team, gaining hands-on experience in client development while studying towards qualification. Once qualified, the plan is to progress into Academy training and begin your journey as an adviser.

The opportunity
Client development will be a key part of the role. You'll help generate opportunities for the advisers by identifying prospective clients, building relationships and booking meetings, with additional pay linked to the meetings you arrange.

Alongside this, you'll gain exposure to the financial advice process, learning how the team works with clients and develops long-term relationships. You'll receive direct mentorship from the Principal Partner, who has a proven track record of developing high-performing advisers.

The expectation is that you'll take ownership of your studies, develop your commercial skills and make the most of the opportunity in front of you.

Who would suit this?
This role is suited to someone ambitious, commercially minded and motivated by the prospect of building a long-term career in financial advice.

You don't need to be qualified already, although progress towards the Level 4 Diploma would be an advantage. You'll need to be confident speaking to people, resilient when generating new business and disciplined enough to balance studying with the demands of a client-facing role.

Most importantly, you'll want to progress. This is an opportunity to learn the business, prove yourself and work towards becoming an adviser, rather than simply taking a job in financial services.

The package and progression

£2,000 monthly guaranteed payment on a self-employed basis
Additional performance incentives linked to successful meetings booked for advisers, providing the opportunity to increase earnings alongside the monthly guarantee.
Support and mentorship from the Principal Partner
A target of achieving the Level 4 Diploma over 12-18 months
A planned progression into Academy training and a Financial Adviser role once qualified
