Description:

Finegreen are currently working with a large NHS Trust based in North West England, due to a new structure they are seeking a senior Clinical Governance professional for a period of 6 to 9 months.

Key responsibilities will include:

Deliver a robust and evolving quality assurance framework and governance structure to ensure accountability and transparency within Clinical Governance Trust wide;
Lead on the communication of quality intelligence with external agencies such as the Trust’s Commissioners, other NHS Trusts, commissioning groups, HTA, NHSE, Care Quality Commission, other regulatory bodies and local stakeholders;
Led on quality, patient safety, risk management, performance and clinical effectiveness, also have knowledge of the expectations of clinical practice and the regulatory frameworks the NHS adhere to;
Responsible for supporting Trust wide strategy development and implementation by making proposals for policy and service changes to support improvements in clinical governance and quality;
Support the development of a culture of Clinical Governance and Quality Assurance/Management through the established frameworks and continue the maintenance of support structures, developing expertise amongst all levels of staff;
Responsible for the regular delivery of specialist clinical governance and quality assurance/management training for all staff within the Trust;
Support the provision of detailed and highly specialised Clinical Governance and Quality Assurance/Management advice to other health care professionals to positively influence the delivery of care.
The ideal candidate will have:

Extensive recent experience working at senior management level within a Clinical Governance post within a healthcare environment;
Proven track record in the management of teams within the NHS in Clinical Governance;
Specialist clinical governance and risk management knowledge acquired through training and experience to degree level equivalent;
Experience of management of healthcare standards, policies, procedures, and audit of the same;
Solid background in the demonstration of building effective working relationships with internal colleagues, also the ability to present information and to train all grades of staff.
