Conrad Consulting is proud to be working with a highly respected, multi-disciplinary property and construction consultancy as they look to appoint an Associate Building Surveyor to strengthen their established Building Surveying team.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Building Surveyor ready to step into a leadership role within a business that places a strong emphasis on professional Building Surveying services. Working with an impressive portfolio of Commercial and Industrial clients, you'll lead on complex instructions, develop key client relationships, and play an integral part in the continued growth of the team.

The Role

As an Associate Building Surveyor, you'll be responsible for delivering a broad range of professional Building Surveying services while supporting the strategic development of the department. You'll manage major client accounts, mentor junior surveyors, and contribute to business development initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include:

Leading professional Building Surveying commissions across Commercial and Industrial property portfolios

Dilapidations (landlord and tenant)

Technical due diligence and acquisition surveys

Schedules of condition

Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) strategies

Defect diagnosis and building pathology

Contract administration on refurbishment and maintenance projects

Party Wall matters (desirable)

Managing and developing key client relationships

Supporting business development activities, networking, and winning new work

Mentoring and developing junior Building Surveyors

Assisting with the leadership and growth of the Building Surveying team

About You

We're looking for an accomplished Building Surveyor with strong technical expertise, commercial awareness, and the leadership skills to help drive a successful team forward.

You'll ideally have:

Degree qualified in Building Surveying or a related discipline

MRICS qualified

Extensive experience delivering professional Building Surveying services

A strong background working with Commercial and Industrial properties

Experience managing client relationships and generating repeat business

Excellent report writing, communication, and leadership skills

The ability to oversee multiple instructions while maintaining exceptional service standards

A full UK driving licence
