Associate Quantity Surveyor - Windsor, Berkshire

A growing SME multidisciplinary property and construction consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Associate Quantity Surveyor to join their Windsor team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Associate Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in a business delivering projects across Berkshire and the wider M4 corridor.

The successful Associate Quantity Surveyor will take responsibility for a varied portfolio of commissions across multiple sectors, working closely with clients, consultants and contractors from early feasibility through to final account. The Associate Quantity Surveyor will provide clear commercial advice, oversee project budgets and help ensure high standards of service are maintained throughout delivery.

This position would suit an Associate Quantity Surveyor who enjoys the autonomy and visibility that comes with working in a growing SME environment. Alongside leading projects, the Associate Quantity Surveyor will support client relationships, contribute to repeat business and help mentor junior members of the team. For an established Associate Quantity Surveyor, there is genuine scope to influence how the cost management service develops as the consultancy continues to expand.

Associate Quantity Surveyor - Key Responsibilities:

Leading cost management commissions from inception through to final account

Preparing and reviewing cost plans, estimates and project budgets

Managing tender documentation, procurement and contractor selection

Overseeing valuations, variations, change control and cost reporting

Advising clients on commercial strategy and contractual matters

Managing key client relationships across Berkshire and the M4 corridor

Supporting business development and identifying repeat work opportunities

Mentoring junior Quantity Surveyors and supporting team development

Associate Quantity Surveyor - Candidate Requirements:

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related construction discipline

MRICS qualified, or operating at an equivalent senior professional level

Strong UK PQS or cost consultancy experience

Proven ability to lead commissions independently

Good knowledge of JCT contracts and UK procurement routes

Strong client-facing, commercial and leadership skills

Experience across a variety of property sectors would be advantageous

In Return:

£75,000 - £85,000 per annum

Windsor, Berkshire location

Varied projects across Berkshire and the M4 corridor

Senior client and project responsibility
