Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be working with a highly regarded, independent consultancy in central London on the appointment of an Assistant Town Planner to join the rapidly growing office.
Our client offers a range of planning and development-related services and in this role, The Assistant Town Planner will be working alongside experienced planning professionals on commercial, retail, residential and industrial schemes. Our client prides themselves on getting the best outcomes for their clients and has a great track record of doing so!
What the Assistant Town Planner will do
Key role responsibilities
Supporting the team in the delivery of a variety of planning projects including assisting with all aspects of advice, planning applications and appeals
Researching and analysing planning policy and decisions, preparing representations to emerging policy and local plans
Drafting reports, advice notes, planning statements and pre-application letters
Preparing and submitting applications on the planning portal and monitoring applications
Attending meetings and taking minutes
What Assistant Town Planners need to apply
Degree or higher in relevant subject
Excellent analytical, verbal and written skills
Positive, hard-working attitude
Enjoys responsibility and integrating/collaborating with other teams
Understanding of the UK planning system
